Project 1
CLAP SWITCH
We present an approach to control the household electrical devices like room light or fan in a room environment using whistle and clap. There are many alternative techniques to remotely control electrical devices in room environment such as using a TV remote control or speech recognition techniques etc. But our approach is the most cost effective. Though this product is aimed at physically challenged user, it has universal appeal as a comfortable way to control the room environment. We have designed 555 TIMER based circuits to detect clap and whistle against other sounds and are controlling the intensity of the load using a 555 TIMER based triac drive and a specific code.

Project 2
VOICE CONTROL ROBO CAR
The purpose of this project is to build a robotic car which could be controlled using voice commands. Generally these kinds of systems are known as Speech Controlled Automation Systems (SCAS). Our system will be a prototype of the same. We are not aiming to build a robot which can recognize a lot of words. Our basic idea is to develop some sort of menu driven control for our robot, where the menu is going to be voice driven.
What we are aiming at is to control the robot using following voice commands. Robot which can do these basic tasks:-
1. move forward
2. move back
3. turn right
4. turn left
5. load
6. release
7. stop ( stops doing the current job )
SYSTEM DESIGN
a. Voice Recognition Module
b. Microcontroller and Decoder
c. RF module
d. Motor Driver Circuit
e. Buffer
We believe such a system would find wide variety of applications. Menu driven systems such as e-mail readers, household appliances like washing machines, microwave ovens, and pagers and mobiles etc. will become voice controlled in future
